“For me the Summit was a time of realignment. I was walking in passivity without realizing it, and the Summit was a wake-up call for me. There is a proverb that says «You can’t keep the birds from flying over your head but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair».
Well, I suddenly realized I had birds in my hair! I had not been actively dealing with my thought life, but had allowed negative thoughts and lies to just «sit there», not realizing how it was stealing from me and causing me to hold back, both from being who I am created to be, but also from loving others the way I was meant to! It was a real wake up call for me to break off passivity and actively take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.
I am not irrelevant, I am not too old, my voice matters, and I will not walk in passivity, I will run. I am a mom, for such a time as this!
